An algae bloom can turn bright, clear water into a soupy green mess and keep people from taking a dip in the pool. There are just a couple of steps necessary to get rid of algae blooms. Put your pool vacuum together. Connect the pole to the vacuum head, and the vacuum head to the hose. Use an extension pole, so your vacuum head can reach all the way to the bottom of the deepest end of your pool. The vacuum will be useful only for the algae that is growing on the sides and bottom of your pool, and must be able to reach all surface areas. Use the pole to push the vacuum head into the water. As you push the vacuum head down, it drags the hose, which will fill with water. Once the hose is full of water, attach it to the suction line in your skimmer, or pump. Vacuum your pool as you would
