Decorating for parties, not necessarily just birthday parties, does not have to be an expensive under-taking. Simply head to a “dollar store” or any other discount store and pick up some gift wrapping supplies. Gift wrap is so versitile it can be used for much more than just wrapping gifts. Look around the room where the majority of your guests will be spending most of their time. Make note of all the “flat” hanging art, framed photographs and objects. Wrap the front of each of these items with wrapping paper. Use just enough paper to wrap around the edges and attach to the back so no wrapping is wasted. Take a second look around your space making note of all the square, rectangle and flat items on table tops and book shelves. Wrap each of these items as sparingly as possible.
