How Do You Use Vista Complete PC Backup In Windows XP?

0

Vista Complete PC Backup is a built-in utility with certain editions of Windows Vista that allow you to save the information contained on your computer, protecting it against the threat of data loss. Windows XP Professional contains an analogous feature that performs an identical task, just under a different name–the Backup Utility. Using the Backup Utility included with Windows XP Professional will give you the same level of protection as the Complete PC Backup contained with Vista. Open the “Start” menu, click on the “All Programs” menu, open the “Accessories” folder and open the “System Tools” folder. Click on “Backup.” Select the option to “Back Up Files and Settings.” Check off the box to back up “All Information on this Computer.” Specify the location to store your backup files, whether on the hard drive, a CD or DVD, or a USB drive. Click “Finish” to complete the process and begin backing up your data.
