Motorcycle riders use the same signals as other drivers. However, turn signals and brake lights are much more important to motorcycle riders. Use your turn signals anytime you’re going to turn or change lanes, even if you think no one else is around. It’s the car you don’t see that gives the most trouble. Remember that signal lights make you more visible. People behind you are more likely to see a turn signal than a taillight. Operate your turn signals even when you plan to do the obvious. That way, other drivers aren’t forced to guess at your intentions and are more likely to see you and make room for you.
