Nearly every state has a Consumer Protection Division of the State Attorney General’s office. This is the watchdog for consumer activity in your state. If you are a buyer of any goods within the state, and sometimes outside the state, the Consumer Rights watchdog is available to you. Know the role of the State Attorney General’s Office. They are available to help with disputes with businesses or scams in the state. Even if you have no dispute, they provide information to the general public about scams in the form of consumer alerts.
