How Do You Use The Quick Mark Feature Of A Tape Measure?

“in this video clip we’ll be using our quick mark feature. Our quick mark feature is located on the bottom of our tape measure just below that hook where we would hook things on. Now this quick mark feature is best used when your marking lots of boards at the exact same distance. The first thing that you need to do is set your tape measure to your desired length I’m going ahead set this to 12″ and go ahead and lock that in place so that measurement won’t move. Next you need to make sure that you get that hooked onto the end right where you wanted to be, once it’s hooked your going to rotate the tape measure back and forth by pressing the button against the wood where that marking tool is. Now when you release the tape measure you have a mark go ahead and slide your next board in place, hook your tape measure on move it back and forth to make that mark. And we have it marked at 12” again now like I said this is best used if your marking a lot of pieces of wood at the exact same length.
