Using the onscreen display of the Sony DVPC600D, you can check the status of the player or disc on your TV screen. Here’s how to access it. Press the “Display” button at the top of the remote. Display modes 1 and 2 represent the player and disc. Display mode 3 displays the bit rate of the playback picture. Push the Time/Text button at the center of the remote until you find the information you need. Your choices will appear in this order: playing time of the current chapter/track, remaining time of current chapter/track, playing time of the current title/disc and remaining time of the current title/disc. The loop repeats as you continue to press the Time/Text button. Stop the DVD, VCD or CD, and push the Time/Text button. A menu containing information about the disc will appear onscreen. To turn off this menu, push the Time/Text button again.
