Into Internet time travel? Ever looking for a website a get a “404 not found” or similar message when the page or host is unavailable? Maybe you just want to see what a specific web site looked like a few years ago. Or, perhaps you’re just plain – paranoid. Whatever your reason for wanting to go back, the Internet Archive Wayback Machine is a cool service that allows you to visit archived versions of Web sites. Looking into the Internet’s past is super simple… Open your Web browser and go to: http://www.archive.org/web/web.php. Type in the URL of the web site you want research. For this example I used: http://www.ehow.com. Then, click on the “Take Me Back” button. Search results will appear. Select the date you want and click on it. Ta-da! View the snapshot of the web site for the date you selected. Pretty neat – huh!
