How Do You Use Soda Crystals In The Laundry?
Soda crystals have long been used as a cleaning element for a number of household items, including laundry. Soda crystals dissolve into water, working hard to dissolve tough stains and residue that would not be removed by laundry detergent alone. This is a safe alternative to the use of chlorinated bleach and other chemically based stain removers that are not only expensive, but also harmful to the home and family. Soak soiled items in a basin filled with warm water and soda crystals. Fill the basin with 1 cup of soda crystals per 1 gallon of water, and agitate slightly to dissolve the crystals. Place items in the basin, and let soak for one hour. Turn on the washing machine, using a warm water cycle and the amount of laundry detergent you usually use. Pour the entire contents of the basin into the washing machine, pouring in both the liquid as well as the garments.
