Make your kitchen a little greener by baking in reusable silicone muffin cups instead of using disposable paper liners. These Earth-friendly muffin cups can be used in the exact manner as paper liners, but their rubber-like quality allows them to maintain their shape even when used without muffin tins. As an added bonus, these cups can go from the freezer to the oven, microwave and dishwasher without damage, unlike muffin tins. However, although silicone muffin cups are nonstick, they should still be coated with cooking spray to improve their effectiveness. Preheat your oven according to your recipe for at least 15 minutes. Spray the inside of the silicone muffin cups with cooking spray. Arrange the silicone cups on a baking sheet in a single layer.
