How Do You Use Silicone Baking Forms?
Baking requires careful measurements and precise cooking times. In addition, the pan that is being used must be greased well to ensure the baked good can be removed without breaking apart. Silicone baking forms offer a unique alternative to traditional metal or glass baking pans. Their silicone design makes them generally non-stick. Furthermore, the finished product is much easier to remove from the pan. Cooking with silicone baking forms is very easy; however, it is slightly different than traditional baking pans and requires a few special baking techniques. Step 1 Wash the pan with warm soapy water before the first use to ensure it is free of residue from the manufacturing process. Step 2 Season the baking form with a non-stick cooking spray and wipe any excess from the surface with a paper towel. Step 3 Place the baking form on a cookie sheet. Step 4 Fill cupcake pans 2/3 full of batter. Fill tube pans to within an inch from the top. For all other baking forms, fill no more than 1/2
