This allows the Seal-A-Meal bags to be used with a FoodSaver to store food. The length of time food will last varies based on the type of food and if the bag is also refrigerated or frozen. This length of time should not vary significantly based on the brand of bag used. Place the food to be stored into a Seal-A-Meal bag. There should be at least a 3-inch gap between the top of the bag and the top of the bag contents. Open the lid of the FoodSaver. Place the open top end of the bag on the sealing strip. This is the black line that is on the front edge of the FoodSaver. Close the lid of the FoodSaver, trapping the top of the Seal-A-Meal bag on the sealing strip.
