Some of the most useful tools in Adobe After Effects are key frames that create animations. The basic key frame tools adjust position, rotation, opacity and scale. Scale plays an important role in animated sequences and can be used create illusions for projects. Once you learn how to scale objects, you can expand to other skills within the After Effects program. Open up Adobe After Effects and import a photo file into the program by right-clicking in the “Project” window and selecting “Import” then “Files…”. Choose any type of photo, or a specific one that you plan to use for a future project. Drag the object into the “Timeline” window below. Change the composition size so that the object fits well into the screen.
