How Do You Use Pkunzip?
PKunzip is a particular tool within the program PKzip. This program allows the user to “zip” and “unzip” files. This means that it can put files into and take files out of archives that are designed to compress these files and make them easier to transport. PKunzip can open archives so that you can access the files inside. It’s necessary to use a program such as PKunzip, because otherwise “zipped” files cannot be used. Download a version of PKzip (see Resources). Install the program by locating the installation file and double-clicking on it. Go though the installation process, which includes choosing a directory for your program. Activate the program by double-clicking on the shortcut on your desktop. Click the “Open” button at the top of the program window. This brings up a new browse window. Double-click on the zip file you want to open in the new browse window. Once the file opens, click on the file and drag it to your desktop or another folder. You can now use the “unzipped” file.
