Parsley has many health benefits and can add allot of taste to a meal. Fresh from the herb garden or bought from the local grocery store a little bit can go along way. Learn how to cook with parsley to retain all it’s benefits. When bringing fresh parsley home from the market, place them in a class of water (stems down) and refrigerate. Do not Cook: Add parsley before food is served. Cooking parsley will destroy texture and it’s valuable nutrients. Use fresh parsley when possible to get the full taste added nutrients. If using fresh from the garden, chop the herb just before using. Then sprinkle over your food to give it a finishing touch. Add fresh parsley to items such as backed potatoes, smoked salmon, poultry, pasta, and vegetables. Freeze fresh parsley by washing, drying, and then seal in a zip lock bag. You may then just remove the amount you need out of the freezer each time.
