How Do You Use Old Coffee Grounds Around The House?
I use it almost everywhere! I put it in my fridge to remove odors, use it to fill scratches on my wooden furniture (that’s my cat Molly). My kids use it for their craft or school history projects – did you know it can make paper look yellow and old. It’s amazing what you can do with used coffee grounds. • Remove the used coffee filter from the coffee pot, and empty the coffee grounds onto a paper towel. • Spread the coffee grounds out onto the paper towel and allow them to dry for twenty-four hours. • Decide whether you want to make a body scrub (begin at step 4) or potpourri (begin at step 8) with the coffee grounds. • To make body scrub you will need to gather 1/2 cup of oil, 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract along with 1/3 cup of your dried coffee grounds. • Mix all of these ingredients into a bowl, pouring the oil in last. • Rub the body scrub on slightly wet skin and allow to soak for 1-3 minutes. • Rinse the body scrub away with warm water. • To make potpourri you will need to gather 3 cups dried flower petals and a vanilla or mocha body spray along with 3/4 cup of your dried coffee grounds. • Lay the dried petals out on a paper towel in a thin layer. • Lightly spray the petals with your body spray. • Mix the petals and coffee grounds in a bowl. • Cover the
