Norton’s Ghost software was developed to help computer users back up important data so it can be easily recovered in the event of a spyware, malware or virus attack. While Ghost cannot prevent these attacks on its own, when used in conjunction with a strong antivirus and anti-malware software suite it is a powerful tool in protecting your data. You can configure Ghost to automatically back up your data at regular intervals or even when certain programs are accessed to help ensure you always have the best data possible from which to restore. Open Norton Ghost by clicking the “Start” menu, selecting “Programs,” then “Norton Ghost.” You can also do this by right-clicking the Norton Ghost icon in your system tray.
