How Do You Use Norton Ghost 8.0?
Norton Ghost is the hard disc backup and cloning program sold by Symantec as part of the Norton computer security and data backup suite of programs. Norton Ghost was released in 2002 and was the first version of the product designed for home and commercial use. Norton Ghost 8 can be used to create disc clones, backup and restore files, as well as to backup multimedia files such as images and movies. In order to best use Norton 8, you will need to be able to manipulate the program through the DOS command prompt. Open the DOS command prompt on your computer by selecting the “Start” and “Run” menu buttons followed by entering “command” at the search text box and hitting the “enter” key. Enter “c:\program files\symantec\ghost\ghost.exe” followed by the “Enter” key. Choose the “Local” menu option followed by clicking “Enter” and choosing the “Disk” and “To Image” menu options.
