How Do You Use Mono Audio Clips In Adobe Premiere Pro?
There are a couple different ways to work with Mono Audio clips in Adobe Premiere Pro. You may choose to break out the audio channels, creating a mono clip from stereo or surround audio. This will give you either 2 mono clips (from stereo) or 6 mono clips (from surround). You may use mono clips as stereo. To break out channels in an audio clip, you use the “Breakout to Mono” command. Go to the Project panel and select the clip that contains the stereo or 5.1 surround audio. Next, go to the Clip Menu at the top of your workspace, and then go to Audio Options, and then to “Breakout to Mono.” The files that are broken out will each be given a name that reflects the original clip along with the channel name (Left or Right). To use a mono clip as stereo, you will use the “Source Channel Mappings” effect. This will allow you to use a mono clip on both left and right stereo channels. Go to the Project panel and select an audio clip with mono audio.
