Cleaning your face before applying the moisturizer is always good, as it removes dirt and impurities from the face. You can then apply the moisturizer to your skin. Using an oil free moisturizer will be beneficial as it keeps your skin away from acne and pimples. Also it will not make your skin oily and dull. Then you can apply the make up for the evening.
