MS Office has become the mainstay of corporate productivity. Most all universities use the package as well. Microsoft Office 3.0 first entered the scene running on the Windows for Workgroups 3.11 operating system in 1988 and matured into a full featured software application package. Today it is essential that a person have a firm grasp of two essential Microsoft Office applications. The applications are Microsoft Word, which is used to create text documents, and Microsoft Excel which is a spreadsheet used for calculating numerical data.
