How Do You Use Living Bentonite Clay?
Living Bentonite clay is topically used in facials and body wraps. The clay cleanses skin by balancing the body’s pH levels. Research by geochemist Lynda Williams and microbiologist Shelley Haydel at Arizona State University show three minerals in certain clays target antibiotic-resistant E. coli, as well as other bacteria. Treat skin maladies by applying wet clay topically to the skin. Purchase clay in dry form to easily mix it yourself. Bentonite is a swelling clay so when mixed with water it swells open like a porous sponge. From here the toxins are drawn into the sponge through electrical attraction and once there, they are bound. Mix 1 part dry powder clay to 3 parts water. A good quality Bentonite should be a grey/cream color. Cover and shake vigorously until creamy and smooth. Adjust consistency by adding more powdered clay or water. Open cover for 10-15 minutes Cover and keep in a cool dry place.
