How Do You Use Live Worms As Bait?
Although live worms are universally recognized as a great fishing bait, it seems to me that very few anglers have put much thought into actually using live worms as bait. Most anglers seem to think that attempting to “thread” a live worm onto a fishing hook is good enough. That or simply hooking a live worm over and over again onto a single hook and calling it worm fishing. Although fish will bite live worms that are presented in these manners, large and experienced fish will not bite live worms that are presented in such ways. Large and experienced fish have been to the puppet show and seen the strings, if you will, and know that such offerings mean getting ripped out of the water by a human being! Therefore, they tend not to bite such amateurish offerings. They are looking for food that looks natural.
