How Do You Use Lavender As A Moth And Flea Repellent?
Moths, fleas and other pests can be an annoying issue to deal with. If you have animals or small children in your home, you may not want to use a toxic repellent. Lavender is an effective and natural moth and flea repellent. Gather a large bunch of fresh lavender flowers that contain both the stems and flowers of the plant. You will need 18 to 26 stems for each wand or ornament. Measure out 2 yards of ribbon for each bunch of stems. Use ribbon that is at least 1/2-inch wide. Coordinate the ribbon color with your décor, such as the color of your bedroom. Tie one end of the ribbon in a knot right below the flowers. Let the rest of the ribbon hang down with the stems. Turn the bunch of lavender upside down so that the flowers are at the bottom and the stems are bent over them. Find the ribbon from the middle of the bundle of stems and pull it out. Weave it through the stems, using 2 stems at a time. Make the weaving as tight as you can so the flowers will be safely tucked inside the cage
