How Do You Use Food Saver Vacuum Sealers?
When storing food, it’s important to place it in as airtight a container as possible. One way to do this is to use a sealer like the Food Saver and its vacuum seals. The Food Saver seals food of any type inside a bag, and vacuums the air out. Storing food in a vacuum-sealed Food Saver bag will help keep any food preserved longer than in regular bags or foil. Get a Food Saver bag. You may need to remove one from the Food Saver machine depending on the model. Open the bag from the unsealed end and deposit the food you want to store inside it. Be sure no food gets up to where the green dot is. Close the Food Saver bag as tightly as you can. Place the Food Saver bag into the vacuum part of the sealer, with the green dot facing on top. Press the Vacuum button on the Food Saver sealer. Wait for the sealer to finish before removing the sealed food bag. Store the sealed food in an area of your choice.
