Drysol is a topical medicated solution that is most often used to treat or control excessive sweating, essentially making it a prescription antiperspirant, according to the Mayo Clinic. It is applied directly to the skin for a period of time that is usually prescribed by your doctor. Normally, it won’t take too long for the medication to work, as most people generally see results within a few applications. Apply to the areas of the body that are prone to excessive sweating, like the underarms, palms of the hands and soles of the feet. It is best to apply Drysol prior to going to bed, as you’ll want the solution to be on the skin for anywhere from six to eight hours. Let the area of application dry completely before dressing.
