How do you use Clorox 2® Stain Fighter & Color Booster to remove dye that bleeds onto clothes?
A. Dye transfer is caused when unstable fabric dye colors “bleed” from one fabric to the other. These stains are very difficult to completely remove. However, you can try using Clorox 2® Stain Fighter & Color Booster to treat dye transfer by using the product as a pre-soak, followed by machine-washing in the warmest water safe for the fabric. If color remains, you might test the fabric to determine if it can be safely laundered with Clorox® Regular-Bleach. Another alternative (on all-white fabrics only) is to use a packaged color remover or stripper such as one sold under the “Rit” label.
