How Do You Use Cinnamon As A Digestive Aid?
Cinnamon is a popular home remedy for digestive complaints, such as acid stomach, heartburn, acid reflux, diarrhea, stomach ulcers, vomiting and nausea. It helps dispel excess abdominal gas, relieving bloating, colic and cramping caused by gas. Studies have also shown cinnamon to be a powerful anti-microbial that fights food-borne bacteria such as E. coli. Pour the water into a pan and bring it to a boil. Add the powdered cinnamon bark to the boiling water. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool the herbal tea and strain into a cup. Drink two to three times a day, before your meals. Toast the slice of raisin bread to desired brownness. Spread the butter on your toasted bread. Sprinkle the cinnamon and cardamom onto the hot, buttered bread. Chew your cinnamon raisin bread very slowly and thoroughly before you swallow it. Stir the ground cinnamon powder into the honey. Store in an airtight container. Take your cinnamon honey mix before each meal.
