How Do You Use Channel 9 With The Cobra CB Radio?
Channel 9 is intended for emergency use only. The FCC monitors any transmissions that carry over this channel, so be sure to follow the guidelines below before accessing it. Find the On/Off/Volume knob on the bottom left-hand side of the front panel to the right of the microphone connector. Rotate the knob to the right to power on your Cobra CB Radio. Press the Channel 9 button on your CB Radio. Use Channel 9 for immediate emergencies only. For example, you would be able to use Channel 9 to alert others of a tornado sighting. However, if you received this message, you would not be able to use Channel 9 to let others know that your area is clear of a tornado.
