Drinking soothing blends of chamomile tea can help digestive problems like diarrhea and irritable bowel syndrome. Treating heartburn is no different. While it’s possible to purchase instant chamomile tea, it’s just as easy to prepare delicious and all-natural homemade chamomile teas with ingredients from your local supermarket. Boil 1 cup of water. Reduce heat and stir in 1 tsp. of dehydrated chamomile petals. Simmer for 45 seconds and remove from heat. Allow the petals to soak in hot water for another minute. Use a colander to strain chamomile flowers from the water. Transfer the chamomile water into your favorite mug and sweeten with honey, sugar or lemon to taste. Mix a 1/2 cup of dried chamomile flowers with 1/2 cup of dehydrated calendula flowers. Stir in 2 tbsp. of lemon zest, 1 tbsp. cloves and 1/4 cup of dried peppermint. Mix thoroughly.
