How Do You Use Ceramic Tile Spacers?
Ceramic tile spacers are small pieces of plastic that are placed in between tiles when laying a tile floor, to provide proper spacing for grouting. Tile spacers come in a range of sizes, depending on the width you want for your grout lines. Tile spacers are usually shaped like a square or like a plus sign. Many ceramic tiles come with spacers already attached. Additional spacers can be used in conjunction with these tiles if you wish to increase the spacing between tiles. Use spacers to do a trial layout of ceramic tile floors or countertops. Square spacers are inserted between tiles. Place two spacers on all four sides. Place spacers near the corners of the tiles. Plus-sign-shaped spacers are placed between the tiles at their corners. One plus-sign spacer, laid flat, will fit the corners of four tiles.
