How Do You Use Boric Acid For Termites?

The termite killer boric acid originates from boric mineral combined with sulfuric acid. The acid comes in a white powder form that attaches to the legs of termites. The termites bring the boric acid back to the nest where other termites feed on the acid. The acid attacks the nervous system in the termite, eventually dehydrating and killing the pest. Pour 1 to 2 tbsp. of boric acid on four thin pieces of wood while wearing the rubber gloves. Pour enough acid to cover the entire wood piece and use a toothbrush to spread it. Place the wood pieces under the crawl space or in the attic. Place one piece on the south side, one on the east, west and north side. Inspect the wood pieces once a week to see how much of the boric acid has been used. Apply more so the wood piece is again full covered in acid.
