Benelli manufactures a range of semi-automatic and pump-action shotguns in 12-gauge or 20-gauge configurations. To maximize the versatility of its offerings, Benelli utilizes a system of interchangeable choke tubes permitting the customer a choice of choke (shot pattern constriction) to suit specific shooting requirements. These choke tubes are made of heat-treated stainless steel that undergo an exclusive Benelli cryogenic process to smooth the inside surface. This, they claim, can result in more uniform shot patterns. Either steel or lead shot may be used in these choke tubes.
