There has recently been a shift away from traditional, in-person banking toward the use of automatic teller machines. These machines are known as “ATM”s, and can be used to easily, conveniently withdraw or deposit money. Their operation, however, is not self-evident. But with a basic knowledge of their features and uses, ATMs can be used by anyone. Have your ATM card and account PIN available before approaching the ATM. Prepare the amount of money you want to deposit, if you are depositing. If you are withdrawing, know how much money you want to withdraw before beginning the transaction. Place the aforementioned materials in a guarded place, such as a deep pocket. Alternatively, if using a drive-thru ATM, glove compartment will suffice. This will help avoid an insecure transaction since ATMs (and banks in general) can be hubs for robbery. Insert your ATM card into the machine. There is usually an illuminated slit that indicates where to insert the card. Choose your preferred language,
