The Xbox 360 hard drive allows you to download games, demos, game add-ons and even movies. Installing the Xbox 360 hard drive is a simple process that will also allow you to store many save game files directly to the hard drive, allowing you to resume your progress when you come back to the game. Ensure that your Xbox 360 is turned off to avoid damaging any components. Remove the hard drive bay cover that is on the left side of the Xbox 360. Hold the Xbox 360 hard drive over the drive bay with the more narrow end facing towards the front of the console. Put the ridge on the back of the Xbox 360 hard drive under the lip at the back of the hard drive bay. Apply pressure to the front of the Xbox 360 hard drive until it clicks into place.
