Paint stains should be removed as soon as possible, as fresh paint comes off much easier than paint that has cured over time. Locate the main fuse box in the home or building and turn off the power to the room where the electrical outlet is located. Remove the electrical outlet cover by placing the tip of a screw driver into the screw in the center of the cover. Turn the screwdriver counterclockwise to remove the screw.
