The view camera is a piece of equipment that was developed in the early days of photography. It consists of a rear standard that holds the image media, bellows, and a front standard holding a lens, all of which are mounted on a rail system. The focal length (distance between the lens and the image plate) is highly adjustable, and the standards can move in relation to each other, giving far more artistic control and possibility to the photographer.
