How Do You Use A Titanium Pen?
Glass artists are always looking for a great way to sign their work. Titanium pens (such as a Titanium Ti-Pen™ or Titanium Glass Scribe™) were designed to allow glass artists to easily sign their hand made art. Lampworkers, glass blowers, fused glass artists and glass jewelry makers can all benefit from the these tools. They are designed to write like a pen but use the friction of the metal titanium point to leave a silver colored metal deposit on the surface of glass, quartz, ceramics or vitreous enamels. This tutorial will explain how to use a titanium pen (such as a Titanium Ti-Pen™ or Titanium Glass Scribe™) on your glass work. Wet the surface of the glass or the tip of the titanium pen. The easiest way to wet the pen is to dip it quickly in water. Some artists wet the titanium pen with the tip of their tongue. Although it may work, it is not the safest practice. Once the tip of the pen is wet, just use the titanium pen on the glass as you would an everyday pen. Do not use any more
