An effective presentation can display slides from a previous meeting or data slides that retain the original formatting, to maintain a point of reference and context. PowerPoint provides the default feature to insert slides and apply the current presentation template. In addition, slides can be inserted with the original formatting and template preserved, using the “Keep Source Formatting” option. Two basic tools enable users to quickly insert a previously prepared slide or set of slides within a current presentation. Open both presentations in PowerPoint, one with the slide to be inserted and the other as the destination presentation. Select “Slide Sorter” under “View” in the top menu bar, or click the “Slide Sorter” icon on the lower left corner of the window (icon appears as a square containing four, smaller squares). Click the desired slide to highlight and select the “Copy” function under “Edit” in the top menu bar. Switch to the destination presentation and select “Slide Sorter”
