How Do You Use A Switch With A Motion Sensor Light?

0

Motion sensor lights are economical because the light only turns on when you need it. When you don’t need it, the light automatically shuts off. A motion light switch has the motion sensor built into the plate of the light switch, and the light in the room turns on when that motion sensor detects movement. It is possible, however, to use a motion sensor switch as both a motion light and as a regular light switch. Locate the motion sensor on the motion light switch. The sensor is the portion of the light switch that sticks out and is covered by a thick, clear plastic. Look directly underneath the motion sensor and you’ll notice a tab. This tab is how you can operate the light switch. There are three options on the tab: “On,” “Auto” and “Off.” Slide the tab to the “Auto” position to activate the motion sensor switch. The motion detector will detect movement when you walk in the room, and the light will automatically turn on. When you leave the room, the light will automatically turn off.
