How Do You Use A Sky Wireless Router With Virgin Cable?
Sky wireless routers permit more than one computer to be used with any broadband Internet connection. Virgin cable Internet service requires that the router accept an IP address and DNS addresses directly from the cable Internet network in order to function properly as an Internet-sharing gateway for the multiple systems. The settings of the router can be accessed using a web browser for adjustments even without an active Internet connection as long as the router is connected to the computer. Connect one end of a network cable to the Ethernet networking jack on a computer, and then connect the other end to any of the ports on the rear of the Sky wireless router except for the “WAN” jack. Connect the incoming Virgin network cable to the “Internet” port of the Virgin cable modem. Plug one end of another network cable to the “Computer” jack on the back of the Virgin cable modem and connect the other end to the “WAN” jack on the back of the Sky wireless modem.
