How Do You Use A Quicker Alternative To Ms Words Format Painter?
MS Word offers multiple ways to format text, but some are easier than others, and some are more complex than they need to be. MS Word’s Format Painter can be clumsy to use sometimes when copying formatting from one paragraph to another. However, you can easily copy formatting from one paragraph to another using a simple copy and paste using just that paragraph symbols at the ends of the two paragraphs. The new paragraph will take on the new formatting. That works because Word stores the paragraph formatting in the paragraph symbol at the end of each paragraph. Be sure you can see the paragaraph symbol at the end of each paragraph. If you can’t, click the icon in Word’s ribbons (2007) or toolbars (2003 and earlier). It’s called ‘Show All” in Word 2003. Copy only the paragraph symbol from one paragraph. Select only the paragraph symbol at the end of the paragraph you want to change. Paste the paragraph symbol you cut earlier.
