How Do You Use A Null Modem With A Laptop?
A null modem cable is used to connect two computers to each other and share files between them. It connects the computers through their communication ports using an old-fashioned RS-232 serial connection. This cable is a great way to transfer files onto your laptop from another computer, especially if you have one without a CD drive to install software programs from. Check with the vendor and make sure the adapter will work with your operating system. Some adapters have problems with Windows
