The Nikon SB-600 portable strobe unit is powerful and versatile flash designed to be used with either digital or film SLR (single lens reflex) cameras. The flash unit is positioned just below the SB-800 in Nikon’s flash line-up, but it is powerful enough for most applications. The SB-600 has “Through The Lens” (TTL) metering, which ensures that an accurate amount of power is delivered through the flash to produce the correct amount of light to achieve a correct exposure of the scene the photographer is shooting. Remove the SB-600 from its box and soft case that is included with the flash. Install four new AA batteries into the battery compartment.
