How Do You Use A Multimedia Card Reader?
Multimedia card readers are simple devices that connect to your computer, allowing it to read SD and MMC memory cards as well as Compact Flash (CF) memory cards. Most new computers come with memory card slots, but for those that do not, a multimedia card reader has to be used to transfer files and folders from your computer to your memory card. Connect the USB cable attached to the multimedia card reader to an open USB port on your computer. Depending on your computer model, USB ports are usually located on the lower panel of your computer and on the back. Insert your memory card into the the appropriate memory card slot on the multimedia card reader. Place an MMC card in the MMC slot and a CF card into the CF card slot on the Multimedia card reader. Your computer will automatically recognize and read the new device as a portable disk. Double-click “My Computer” on the desktop.
