How Do You Use A Japanese Beetle Trap?
Japanese beetles are annoying pests that can cause extensive damage to various types of plants. Both the larvae and the adult beetles are culprits. You can use Japanese beetle traps to catch beetles, but you must do so with care. Properly using Japanese beetle traps can help lower the population of these pests and help protect your plants. Realize that Japanese beetle traps use a lure that includes some powerful attracting scents. If you do use traps, you’ll be attracting not only the Japanese beetles in your yard, but also the Japanese beetles for some distance around you as well. Wait for the adult beetles to emerge. Once you begin seeing Japanese beetles, either flying around or chewing on your favorite plants, it’s time to use the traps. Place the traps well away from susceptible plants. The traps don’t catch every beetle they attract, and if some tasty greens happen to be along the beetle’s flight path, it may decide to stop for a bite before moving on. Check the traps periodicall
