Digital answering machines are being created with features that help to make life a little easier. In addition to recording messages from callers while you are away, you can also use your machine to screen calls, to give special messages to certain callers and to separate messages for other members of the family in private mailboxes. Setting up these special features is quite easy. Study the diagram of your answering machine in the manual. This helps you easily locate and identify all the buttons on your digital machine. Locate the “On/Off” button and turn on the answering machine. Adjust the volume. Look for the volume control buttons on the machine to adjust the speaker volume. The machine will beep when you have reached the highest or lowest setting. Set the clock so you can get a time stamp for each message. Press the “Change” then the “Clock” buttons to begin to adjust the time. Use the “Skip/Scan” and “Repeat/Scan” to change the day and increase or decrease the hour and minute. T
