You first want to be able to identify and analyze the cuticle area to see if there is any loose skin around the cuticle. If there is, a cuticle nipper would be great for this. You want to basically, gently remove the cuticle area without cutting or nipping the skin. You don’t want to break the skin in any type of way because this can cause any type of infection. You want to only remove loose skin, any type of hangnails, this is good for the cuticle nipper. If you notice that you have cuticles that are grown upon the nail bed you can gently just push it back and remove that loose skin with a cuticle nipper.
