Stamping concrete with a roller can give your walkway or driveway the look of brick, cobblestone or many other designer appearances. However, unlike brick or pavers, you will have a level surface for years to come, without unattractive grass growing in between the cracks. The concrete can be colored to coordinate with your décor or landscaping. In addition, it withstands the elements better than other options, all while being a very affordable option. Pour, float and edge your concrete just as you normally would when laying a sidewalk or driveway. The concrete needs to be at least 4 inches thick. Add coloring if desired, either mixed in with the concrete or sprayed onto it. Apply a concrete release agent to the roller and to the surface of the concrete. This product plays a roll similar to nonstick spray when you are baking. The release agent will allow you to pull the rolling stamp away without pulling up part of the concrete with it.
