Insert the required number of batteries into the light tester and replace the cover. Hold down the “Test” button to see if the tester lights up. If it does, your batteries are working. Test the bulb by pushing the wire contacts against the metal plates on the bulb tester. The bulb should light up if it is good. If not, try readjusting it and trying again. If it still does not light up, the bulb is bad and you should throw it away and replace it with a good bulb.
